HKTB - Hong Kong Toursim Board wanted to elevelate Hong Kong's position as the  place to do events in relation to the Greater Bay Area.

The Greater Bay Area (GBA) is a dynamic economic region composed of nine cities in Southern China and two Special Administrative Regions - Hong Kong and Macau. This emerging mega-city is seen as one with great potential to rival other global economic powerhouses such as Tokyo Bay and New York City.
Dubbed as "Asia's World City," Hong Kong has always been at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, innovation, and modernity. Its strategic location at the heart of GBA makes it an ideal gateway between mainland China and global markets. With extensive infrastructure development projects connecting Hong Kong with other GBA cities, it has become more accessible than ever before.
